The Metropolitan Museum of Art has officially announced that the 2026 Met Gala theme will be 'Gardens of the Future,' exploring the intersection of nature, technology, and haute couture. The accompanying Costume Institute exhibition opens in May.
Co-chairs for this year's event include Zendaya, Bad Bunny, and Florence Pugh, alongside honorary chair Anna Wintour. Designers are already teasing elaborate botanical-inspired creations that incorporate LED elements and living plant materials.
The theme is expected to produce some of the most visually stunning red carpet moments in Met Gala history, with early speculation centering on which celebrities will push the creative boundaries furthest.
