One of rock music's most iconic bands announced their definitive farewell tour on Wednesday, bringing an end to a 45-year career that produced 14 studio albums and over 200 million records sold worldwide.
The 60-date global tour will begin in September in London and conclude in their hometown of Los Angeles in May 2027, with support acts including two generations of artists they have influenced.
The band's lead vocalist, now 72, told reporters the decision was bittersweet but emphasized that they want to end on their own terms while they can still deliver the performances their fans deserve.
