Social media personality and entrepreneur Charli D'Amelio announced on Tuesday that she is donating $5 million to the Children's Miracle Network, making it one of the largest single charitable contributions ever made by a social media creator. The donation will fund new pediatric mental health programs at 12 hospitals nationwide.

D'Amelio, who has 160 million followers across her social media platforms, said the donation was inspired by her own public struggles with anxiety and the messages she receives from young fans dealing with mental health challenges. The funds will specifically support the hiring of child psychologists and the development of teen-focused therapy programs.

The Children's Miracle Network praised D'Amelio's generosity and noted that the donation comes at a critical time, as pediatric mental health visits have increased by 40 percent since 2020. D'Amelio has committed to visiting several of the hospitals personally over the coming months to meet with young patients and staff.
