A prominent reality television producer is facing a class-action lawsuit filed by 14 former contestants who allege systematic psychological manipulation, coercive contracts, and unsafe working conditions across multiple popular shows. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, names producer Bradley Garner and his production company, Prism Entertainment.
The plaintiffs, who appeared on various dating and competition shows between 2021 and 2025, claim they were deliberately sleep-deprived, denied access to mental health resources, and manipulated into emotionally volatile situations for the sake of dramatic footage. Several contestants allege they developed PTSD and anxiety disorders as a direct result of their experiences on set.
Garner's attorneys released a statement calling the allegations 'grossly exaggerated' and insisting that all participants signed comprehensive waivers and were treated professionally. The case has reignited a broader industry conversation about duty of care in reality television production, with several advocacy groups calling for new regulations.
